Emailed Hewlett Packard today, asking them to enquire at SFC and UPN about sponsoring a fifth season of Farscape.

Went to town today, posted some letters, paid in some cheques and spent a hideously large amount of my Christmas money. I bought:
The third and fourth Lemony Snicket books
The collector's edition of the extended FotR DVD, yes the one with the Argonath bookends. And, yes, they do ROCK! :)
Lots of clothes: 3 jumpers, two tops, a dressing gown.
A cute little murder-mystery-dinner-party-in-a-box thing for Paul. The box is about 7cm x 7cm x 3cm and it was only about £3 or £4 (I forget). We just need to rope some people into playing now! Hehehe...

I've done some revision this evening, not very much because I can't seem to concentrate. But it was just enough for me to realise that I am woefully un-prepared for this exam at the moment. As per usual, I can cope with the basics no problem, but as soon as it gets complex it all goes pear-shaped. Damn it. Well, back to work, I guess.

Oh, I resisted buying Rogue Leader: The Clone Wars second hand from Game. I was v tempted, it's like Rogue Squadron but with more levels and some multi-player stuff. We wants it, we do...

I've been spreading the word about Farscape as much as I can on the web, but today I've made my own first contribution to the cause. Operation Schmooze Sci-Fi is well under-way, with me on board. I don't have a fax machine and I'm not sure I can afford to be calling the US every week - but my letters are written, ready to be sent, and my emails have been sent too. Plus I've signed an online petition which has over 16000 signatures and rising.

I put some extra touches on my PHP coursework today. Now, if the search returns no results it gives you a message saying there were no hotels/sites found rather than an empty table. Plus, I was reminded by Sara and my Dad that I'd not sorted out the case-sensitivity issue but, with the help of a few handy built-in functions, you can now use any random case and have whitespace at the start and the end of your search string and it will still work. Go me! :)

I'm still impressed with myself for having the PHP cswk basically finished yesterday, a whole week before the deadline. I was kind of hoping that I'd finish a coursework more than 24hrs before the dealine before I graduated. It seems I can graduate a happy woman :)

So this evening I decided to have a think about my presentation, even though I really ought to do my essay first, but essays suck and this one is really boring. Anyway the presentation is supposed to be 7 mins long and a max of 5 slides, so I thought I'd start off by working out what I'd have on each slide and then I can work out what I'll actually say from there.

And now I have my presentation basically finished! I need to cut it down loads because it's currently 10 minutes long! Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people who can never think of what to say when public speaking. On the contrary, I tend to ramble. In case you hadn't noticed! :)

I'm going to the library tomorrow to get some books for my essay so I'll print my slides off while I'm there cos I don't have any acetates to print them on to them on at home.
